This 2011 Glentauchers 10-year-old came from a micro-batch of Pedro Ximenez sherry butts, with a generous 1641 bottles yielded at Carn Mor's preferred 47.5% strength. Glentauchers is another Pernod distillery you rarely hear much about, as the vast majority of its spirit gets tipped into a big vat labelled Ballantine's, but the tantalising natural chestnut colour of this whisky should draw plenty of admirers
